Hello guys! I've recently come into a problem, where I had to graph an account's balance, but I only had information of the balance for "some days". I searched and did not find a solution, but I managed to do it myself. I thought others might be interested in the solution, but I'm not fluent in English, so I kindly ask you, to read through the tale, make changes where needed. I do not know where should this message be put inside openoffice.org, but I hope someone will do it, know it or just reply me the instructions - I am ready to make the actual work, but can not write it down properly. So the tale is:
Plotting "non time series" data in OpenOffice.org If you want to plot data, that is not "time series", just some dates with some values - but you want a good chart that represents the data correctly, despite this "deffect", you have to: 1. Create a good chart, with the good series (see attached spreadsheet), and leave the values empty 2. Hide the lines with the missing values if you'd like 3. Create a chart as usual, select the line that represents the values you want to plot and open the properties window. Set the following: * Options / Plot options / Plot missing values: Continue line * Options / Plot options / Include values from hidden cells (if you hidden the rows with the missing values) Thanks for your help, Gregory PS: I am NOT on this mailing list!
