If you saved the documents (the program would have prompted you to save them if you tried to close
the program without saving), you should be able to find them by starting Writer and selecting
"Recent Documents" under the "File" menu.
If it's not that simple, we'd need more info to figure out what's happening.
What operating system are you on? What steps did you go through making the
documents, saving them, trying to open them? Can you find the files in your
file manager or shell?
