Hello I have been using OpenOffice for a while now. Not too many problems. But one I do have is I cannot figure out why my files from Overdrive from Toronto Public Library which I download keep getting intercepted by SOffice.exe.
As you indicate in your subject line, the initial file downloaded when you request an OverDrive Music file has the extension .odm. But an Open Document Format master document also has the extension .odm. So when you installed OpenOffice (which uses Open Document Format natively), it not surprisingly associated the extension .odm with itself. If you do not anticipate creating many master documents in OpenOffice, you may want to change the association for .odm files back to OverDrive Media Console.
I changed the Overdrive as they said in troubleshooting [...] but even though I followed their steps it is still being intercepted and I can't seem to fix it that SOffice does not take anymore audiofiles.
Do you mean that you changed the association? Have you restarted your system since you did so? If you did both these things and there is still a problem, perhaps you made an error somewhere. You may want to check by going through the process again. Are you using Windows? The instructions are all at http://tinyurl.com/35xyh3b .
