Open source software I have running on Windows Vista 32-bit.
Strange. I thought 32 bit programs would run on 64 bit OS's, just not as well
as 64 bit versions. So it is with my wife's Windows 7. Haven't thought about
linux, which I believe I always ran as 32 bit, or OSX, which I believe I'm
running as a 64 bit OS.
They do, but I suspect the problem here is that the 32-bit lightning is
trying to use the 64-bit mozilla libraries installed by 64-bit
thunderbird. I've been compiling sunbird/lightning from source to use it
with 64 thunderbird in linux.

I have both the 32-bit and 64-bit libraries installed as was told to do to stop a different system's error. I do it with every Ubuntu system I have, but still I get the errors with some of the software. Also some web sites just see 64-bit and say no way and do not allow the download.
