I would like to start out by joiniing the users group. I am new to open office and want to
contribute in some way. I am not a programmer or developer, but I can discuss and give feed

Doctor of Education degree. I also like to cut up and have a good time and at the same time stay
connected intellectually.
Have a great day.

There's no formal procedure for joining, but you can definitely contribute through the mailing
lists and/or forums. The two most heavily used communications methods are the users list
(users@openoffice.org) for asking and answering usage questions, and the discuss list
(disc...@openoffice.org) for general discussions. Both of these are quite active and usually
generate quite a few e-mails a day; if you'd prefer a lower level of activity that still lets you
participate fully in the lists, you can subscribe to the digest version
(users-dig...@openoffice.org and discuss-dig...@openoffice.org). That requires a MIME-capable
e-mail client, but almost all are these days.
Welcome!
Well, those are the list addresses-- but the subscription messages should go to
users-subscribe-michaud.blaine=yahoo....@openoffice.org or
users-digest-subscribe-michaud.blaine=yahoo....@openoffice.org, or the corresponding addresses for
the digests. Sorry for any confusion!
