OpenOffice.org consist of Writer (for word processing), Calc (for
spreadsheets), Base (for databases), Draw (for vector graphics), Math
(for formula editing). Asking how it use it is to vague.
If you have tried using it and have specific questions then someone here
maybe able to help. This is a mailing list made up of people how
volunteer their time and knowledge to help others.
I would recommend getting the documentation from
