From: "Phil Hibbs" <sna...@gmail.com> | I get a regular report from a system that generates a .xls file but it | is MIME encoded, and looks like this:
| MIME-Version: 1.0 | Content-Type: Multipart/Related; | type="text/html"; | boundary="saw_part_boundary_0" | --saw_part_boundary_0 | Content-Type: text/html; charset=windows-1252 | Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 | PCFET0NUWVBFIEhUTUwgUFVCTElDICItLy9XM0MvL0RURCBIVE1MIDQuMC8vRU4iPg0KPGh0bWwg | ZGlyP... | Excel can open this file, but OpenOffice.org can't. Any suggestions? | Phil Hibbs. | -- | Don't you just hate self-referential sigs? Why is this regular report being generated as an a MIME encoded .xls file ? Is it sent by email ? WinZIP and other archivers can open MIME encoded files.
