Hi all, I'd like to install the new 3.3.0 on my Linux machines. I am using a Gentoo and a Puppy, so RPM and DEB are not very useful for me. Where can I find sources (and, if possible, installing instructions)? Thanks, SxN
Using Puppy Linux you will have to make a .pet from the source. ( http://www.puppylinux.com/development/createpet.htm) You can get the source here: http://download.openoffice.org/source/index.html >> http://download.openoffice.org/other.html#tested-sdk (select the source files for your architecture.) <http://download.openoffice.org/source/index.html>I'm not very familiar with Gentoo, but I'm sure that you can "make install" as with most any other distro. General instructions can be found here: http://www.tuxfiles.org/linuxhelp/softinstall.html It's really a rather simple process. Just follow the directions. :) <http://www.tuxfiles.org/linuxhelp/softinstall.html>HTH -- UNixThis! http://unixthis.com registered Linux user number 526076 registered Linux machine number 426990 -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@openoffice.org For additional commands, e-mail: sy...@openoffice.org with Subject: help
