Firstly, you're not subscribed to this mail list, so may miss answers.
Secondly, "it doesn't work" isn't a very helpful comment. What did you
do, and /exactly/ what happened?
Finally, have you read the help file? F1 brings up 'help', then search
for "references". The entry "referencing a cell in another document"
gives explicit instructions for doing this. I've just tried it (granted
on ubuntu, not win7; OOo v3.2 here) and it works - opening the
referr/ing/ document gives a message about updating links to other
documents, then behaves as expected.
If you've followed the helpfile instructions precisely and it still
doesn't give the desired result, (preferably) subscribe to this mail
list, and post a note of what you did and what happened (or not, as the
case may be) and give the version of OOo you're using. Maybe then
someone could advise.
