I have a continual problem with OpenOffice (both text and spreadsheet) going into "not responding" status very soon after opening the program. Deleting the User folder under AppData\OpenOffice\3 seems to cure the problem, but I keep having to do this. Clearly, this is not how the program is supposed to work.

I support the work on OpenOffice, but it continues to frustrate me. My operating system is Windows 7 version 6.1 build 7601 32-bit. Can you help me?
