Hi Charles,
1. For Avery labels select from the menu "File | New | Labels". You will
get a dialog box.
2. In the "Brand" field select the size of the label sheet you want. I'm
in the USA so I select "Avery Letter Size".
3. Now you will find in the "Type" field a list of Avery label numbers.
Select the type you want. For example, I've been printing return address
labels (1.75" x 0.5") so I've got "5167 Return Address" selected (it
remembered from the last time I used this).
4. After selecting the type you can click on the "Format" tab and see
all the dimensions of the label to double check your selection.
5. If you want the same text on every label click on the "Options" tab
and select the "Synchronize contents" check box. If you want something
different on any of the labels then you have to have this unselected.
6. Now click on the "New Document" button at the bottom. You should now
have a blank page with faint outlines around each label.
Of course there are many other options on the label dialog box but this
should get you started.
Peace,
Rob:-]

Does OpenOffice have the ability to do mailing labels like MicroSoft
has in Word? I have searched the menus in OpenOffice Word and
OpenOffice Spreadsheet and have not found it there. In Microsoft you
could enter the Avery number and it would automatically set up labels
on those forms.
