Greetings

I was wondering, I would like to restrict the contents of the cells in a 
specific column. 

Let me explain, in my case for column P, the user must only be able to type in 
branch codes, the branch codes must be predefined through a drop down list. 

The reason is that I will be using countif combined with sum to calculate the 
totals that we have produced for our branches.
Could someone please tell me what we call this and if possible provide and 
example of how to set it up?
