Now, with 1.9.122 under Tools/Options/openoffice.org I do not have an entry for
setting an external program within OpenOffice as it is supposed to use the Windows
standard mailer. That is clearly not working as well.
Best wishes

I have just gone through this sequence: File => Send =>Document as EMail.
My Thunderbird mailer opened OK. I sent and received the message
satisfactorily.
I am using XP SP2 with OO 1.9.122

I installed Thunderbird, set it as default mailer, and it did indeed work properly.
However, now that I have defined Pegasus Mail as default again, OpenOffice still
insists on opening Thunderbird, even after a complete reboot. When Thunderbird is
wrongly opened by OpenOffice I even get the Thunderbird message asking if it
should be made my default mailer!
My guess is that if you reinstalled Pegasus (not just reboot) you would
have that as your default mailer. Now I cant' think why you would want
to do that, with Thunderbird available.

Firefox uses what I have defined via Configuration / InternetOptions.
Another difference which may or may not be relevant: When Firefox opens
Thunderbird, I get just a compose message window. When I use File/Send from
OpenOffice I get a full Thunderbird session window plus the compose window, (with
the attachment included).
How can I undo this link to Thunderbird now that there is nowhere in the OpenOffice
configuration where I can specify my mailer?
I am using Win98SE, OO 1.9.122
Best wishes
