I don't think anyone can offer you a workaround. This appears to be a
bug which still exists in the latest 1.9.x developer snapshots. I
suggest that you file or vote for an issue in issuezilla.

Strange. I cannot replicate this in Beta 2.0. I have had Beta 2.0 for
some time and no problems yet. Maybe download/install that version?
