Maybe you should try downloading the .deb-files? You can find some here:
ftp://ftp.linux.cz/pub/localization/OpenOffice.org/devel/680/

Pavel makes for each version rpm's, deb's and exe-files. So I guess,
this will be the better choice for you. And you haven't the problems
with converting the rpm's to deb-files.
