I have just read a response to a moderated question about drag and drop
in Calc, namely highlight the cell(s) then d&d. This is effectively cut
& paste. Is there a drag & drop equivalent to copy & paste?

Select the cell(s) you want to copy.
At the bottom right of the selection, there appears a small, black
square. Drag and drop this square to the bottom right of the area you
want to fill. Normally, the cell(s) to be filled will have outline
highlighting which makes it easy to see what you're doing.

Thanks for taking the time to answer Doug, but I am not looking for fill
across or down.
For example if cell A1 = 123 how does a user copy A1 to K30 using drag &
drop?
Dave
Selecting one cell works so - put cursor to cell, hold and move over
next cell and then back again - first cell remains selected, now you can
drag it.
This prevents cells from accidental moving, what is very easy to happen
in Excel
