OpenOffice is not freeware - it is open source. Have a read of this page to get an understanding of what this means : http://www.opensource.org/docs/definition.php In short, you do not have to pay anything to use OpenOffice. For the future - it is best to use only plain text when posting to email groups. Using HTML can produce unexpected results. /paul
