I was wondering if in OpenOffice you can open a file delimited by fixed length. Has anyone experimented with this? In the past I have renamed tab delimited files to have the .csv extension so OpenOffice Calc can open them, and that seems to work for the most part. However the OpenOffice wizard does not have the option to split columns by fixed length upon import. I'm lost at the moment and any help would be greatly appreciated.
