May be a dumb question but...when you are installing a macro, where do
you unzip it to? And do you unzip individual files or can you create a
folder archive with all of the files inside? For example, if there is
macro Jones consisting of 3 files, do i need to unzip and have the 3
files individually placed in a folder or can I unzip and have a folder
named Jones with the 3 files inside? Never done this before with Open
Office. Spoiled by installers...:(
If I interpret your question correctly, you have a macro addon and are
asking how to get it to work. Most of these do come with intructions or
make instructions available and I encourage you to look for these. Now,
on the off chance that they are not available and I am right in my
guess, you can use <path to OOo>/program/pkgchk in 1.1.x or <path to
OOo>/program/unopkg in 2.0 to do the work pretty much automatically. Try
it and see what happens.
I believe that Mr. Singleton is probably correct. I noticed that there
is a document on how to deal with this here:
http://documentation.openoffice.org/HOW_TO/various_topics/Addons1_1en.sxw
I did not verify that this is the case, but I suspect that it is so.
