I downloaded Open Office 2 a few days ago. It seems very good, but I cannot find a way to use my scanner with it.
I have a HP 1315 all in one, and the HP director software sees only Word Pad as a word processor; Open Office simply does not exist for HP!
On the other side Open Office Writer seems to lack a "Import from scanner" utility. I looked for such an item among the menus, but found nothing.
I find unbelievable that a Word Processor can ignore a scanner (and viceversa)!
