Thanks very much. I just took a gamble and uninstalled the update 3 and
everything appears to be working fine.
Both Update 3 and 5 were about 117 MB, just didn't make sense to have them
both...

I think that Java 1.5 ( also called Java 5 I think) is the correct version
of
java to install.
