Subject: Re: [users] [Problems]
As a relatively new and low life user
I've always preferred the term "newbie" for new users...
1. One suggestion is to change the font and see if that has any
effect. I've used Times new Roman on a winXP install (OOo2.0) and it
all prints fine. If it doesn't you'll have to supply some more details
Every font I have used prints except Roman, Times new Roman is fine
:
What version of windows are you using? XP HOMECan you print out other things
ok? yes
What printer do you have? SAMSUNG ML-4500
2. This can be confusing for everyone. You have to make sure that you
have set the default language to be one that you have a dictionary
for. Have a look at the user guide
(http://documentation.openoffice.org/) under the section for 'spell
check' for more assistance. GOT HIS ONE THANKS
Have fun.. /paul

experiences:
1. I selected the fonr Roman and typed a docuement. Though it looks
fine on the screen the document does not print though left.part can be see
very faintly. Any suggestions.
2. I am baffled by the dictionary and spell check functions. I know to
turn them on but sometimes they work and with other documents not. On
selecting dictionary I get the message that the spellcheck is complete and
I can see faulty words. HELP
