If you are using OOo2.0. you should be able to do this using the
Database Wizard. (You didn't say if you were running Linux or Mac
OS X on your iBook, so you may or may not have OOo2.0.)
To start the Wizard, click File > New > Database.
On the first page of the Wizard, choose "Connect to an existing
database" and choose "Microsoft Access" from the list (scroll up
in the list to see it).
On the next page of the Wizard, browse for the location of the
MSAccess file, then continue as instructed by the wizard.
At the end you should have a table that looks much like an
MSAccess database table, and you should be able to edit it. If
that comes up as read-only (which appears to have happened to
someone else who posted on this list, or another OOo list,
recently), I don't know what causes it or what to do about it,
but someone else might know.
