Once you have installed Openoffice, you'll find it in a "OpenOffice.org 2" folder in your program list. In this folder you then select the part you want to open, usually OpenOffice.org Writer to open word docs, and sometimes probably OpenOffice.org Calc to open excel files. Impress would be to open powerpoint files. Remember, if you want to keepon being able to open the documents in m$ office, to use the save as option when saving files, and then selecting the m$ format.
