There is no need to uninstall OOo. If you have another office suite installed it will happily coexist with it. When you were installing OOo you checked/ticked the boxes to tell OOo that you wanted to change the Windows file associations for MS Office files over to. You can change the file associations (and the pretty little icons) back, by following the instructions given here: http://user-faq.openoffice.org/faq/ar01s04.html#FILE-ASSOCIATIONS If you still wish to uninstall OOo, go to "Control Panel -> Add & Remove Programs...". However, you will still need to change the file associations back, as explained in the above link. Please reply to [email protected] only.
