I don't think so - you'd have to convert them to a format that OOo
understands, like DOC or RTF.  I'm pretty sure that Ability Office can save
in at least one of those, (since they claim MS Word compatibilty).  You can
download a free trial of Ability Office from their website.  Ability Office
is only for Windows.

That should allow you enough time to open your aww files and save them in a
format you can work with.

They require a registration including your email to which they send you the
download information.  You might want to get a "throw away" email address if
you are worried about SPAM.

Sorry there's not a more direct way to do this.
