I'm curious. Does the OOo version for each language automatically
include a spellchecker and make it actice for that particular
language? e.g., I use the English version of OOo hence this stuff
was setup for English (USA) by default when I installed the program.

No. I'm using a German version. And I have to install the German
spellcheck, hyphenation and thesaurus, caused in some license problems.
After installing the appropriate dictionarys, they are (normally)
automatically activated and you can set the language to "French". When
you're done this, your spellcheck will work as expected.

Thanks. That's good to know. I guess I just took it for granted that
each language version would be set up by default for the appropriate
language as simply as the English one. Go figure.
