I tried once with http and did not have the time to work it out properly (ok, the patience). I can definitely recommend it. Prozilla promises a lot.
The Mozilla sites mention various downloaders too. I used BitTorrent for the OO downloads because (1) P2P download was available and (2) The traffic on OO is very heavy when a new version is released. Again, I would recommend it.
