You and I both expected that doing so would bring up a color palette, but OOo doesn't do that ... yet. It shouldbe requested as an enhancement I think.

A lot of other programs work that way, such as Gimp (already mentioned), Photoshop, and others.

And that showed you the RGB equivalent of Gray 20%? I tried that but had to try several different grays before I found the one I wanted, and then didn't see any RGB equivalent. What did I do wrong?
