I'm not sure where the problem lies. I, too, was able to attach files to
Thunderbird under OO 1.X and TB 1.0.7. But once I moved to TB 1.5 and OO
2.0(+), the files failed to attach. In addition, the problem pops up
with Sylpheed-Claws (I'm on Linux) and OO 2.0. So it may be that OO and
email clients are both wallflowers at this dance.
