So, what about ^(.+)$ in search ? And (<&>)=(<&>) in replace ?
I stand corrected regarding back references, and indeed using "*+" in
the find and "(<&>)=(<&>)" works as expected (no need in putting the
paragraph markers since the scope of the search is the paragraph anyway).
