[users] JAVA & OOo Writer Wizards

I tried to open the Wizards in Open Office Writer & got the following Error:
"OO requires JRE.  Selected JRE is defective, select another version or
install new JRE".  I have J2SE RE-Update 6 installed, which is the latest
version.  I've had no previous problems with Java.  Please advise & thanks.
