Dear all:

I have encounter a serious bug on my OpenOffice/2.0

I have one of the earliest build of OpenOffice/2.0. If my memory serve
me, this is the first official copy of OpenOffice/2.0 beyond beta. As
for exact build. I am having problem find out that information, as i
can't find precise build number, build date, and change log anywhere.

My OpenOffice works pretty good normally... until i try to upgrade to a
later build.

One would expect the openOffice MSI (microsoft installation package)
would simply remove the earlier install and upgrade it automatically.

Instead, in the middle of installation, it starts to complain it has to
remove the previous copy first. When one clicked ok, it start to
complain that it can't find the installation (openofficeorg20.msi) file
(see screen capture 1).

Once I pointed to the new msi file which I just downloaded
(openoffice/2.02), it complains that the version of openofficeorg20.msi
is not a valid installation package (see screen capture 2).

Then, after I clicked "cancelled" it said: The installation source for
this product is not available. Varify that the source exists and you
can access it. (see Screen capture 3)

How to fix this?

I have see this problem on the net posted on ooforum, i can't find the
solution on the net.

I would really like to upgrade/remove my old openoffice. any idea?

Thanks in advance.

Harv
