Hi, William,
I, too, have run into that situation. Most of the time it's not a problem
but when it is a problem it can be difficult. So, it's on the long list
of possible ideas for future versions:

Right here and now it is possible to work around, though a bit awkward.
Rather than making the formula using a direct reference, e.g. H5, you must
use an indirect reference using the INDIRECT() function, e.g.
INDIRECT(H5). That will unfortunately make the formulas longer but will
do what I think you are asking.

I am using open office calc, and I need to know how should I copy a
formula keeping constant any value. Because when I am copying a formula
values like "$RES.H5*$Ž4Ž.H5+... CHANGES TO "$RES.J5*$Ž4Ž.J5+... AND I
WNAT TO KEEP CONSTANT H5 AND CHANGE Ž4Ž TO Ž5Ž AND I CANŽT DO IT.
I will thank you a lot if you could give me the solution.
