Well, I have been talking on the OOoForum with a lady who also has Ubuntu and the Gallery works for her. I will try the re-install and let you know. For the moment, here are the clues: Today I went back in and all the Gallery has disappeared. Amazing! yes, I can add them back in the way I did last night, but do I need to do this every day? Perhaps this is a clue: At least one other thing disappears from OOo for me, too: My Templates. Here's what happens: File > New > Templates and Documents Click on My templates, the My Templates icon disappears, there is nothing there. Click on Organize, click on My Templates, nothing is there.
