Yes Steven, i tried OOo with outlook 2000 at home with a POP configuration and your right, it does not occur, so i have done the following so far without any luck to date.
Upgraded outlook 2000 with SR-1 and SP2 - no luck, Removed outlook 2000 and installed outlook XP (2002) - again no luck I will install outlook 2003 and see if this works. Both companies were using Outlook, and I used OOo with both. It probably has something to do with the way Outlook (from an admin) perspective is configured.
