I have an existing calc spreadsheet that contains a chart. I've added more data to the spreadsheet, but am at a loss as how to extend the range that the chart displays, short of creating a new chart. I looked in the help and I think that it wanted me to click on the chart, then on Edit then on Chart Data. I can get the proper Edit menu to come up, but Chart Data is always grayed-out.
I've played around with it some more, clicking here, double clicking there and one time, when I right clicked on something, and a menu came up next to the cursor that had an Edit selection. I tried that and it had just what I wanted. Unfortunately, I did not have the data range I needed, so I had to go back to the spreadsheet to find the last cell in the range. Coming back to the chart, I've been trying for about an hour to re-create the steps that brought-up the right menu. Try as I might, I have failed. Can somebody suggest a straight-forward way of extending the range in the spreadsheet for the source data for a chart in calc?
