my recent Thunderbird question you referred to was directly related to
this newsgroup and was therefore appropriate here.
However, this isn't the right forum for asking specific Thunderbird
questions - the best place for asking such questions is the
mozilla.support.thunderbird newsgroup on server news.mozilla.org
Nevertheless, if I knew the answer to your question I would answer it,
but I am a little puzzled about why mail filters don't work for you.
I too use Thunderbird 1.5, and mail filter work flawlessly for me (and
for other users).
I'm sure someone at mozilla.support.thunderbird will be able to shed
some light on it.
