Hi Greg,
this may not help you very much, but in 15 years of occasionally
printing labels I have found that some combinations of label paper and
printer (paper transport) don't perform reliably due to slippage. I then
used a graphics program like Corel Draw, created one label and used
the duplicating feature to create rows, these could be positioned to
compensate for slipping.
Good luck,
Max.

Subject: [users] How do you reformat labels?
Question: I pretty much know how to create labels, including labels with
multiple graphics along with Fontart. For example, let's say I'm making
return address labels with graphics. I File>New>Labels. All the labels
are the same, so I synchronize them. That makes things a lot easier. At
the Labels tab, I choose the Avery Letter Size for the Brand. I choose
the 8160 Ink Jet Address for the Type. Then I press New Document. I
create my label in the first label, making sure to leave enough space
along the edges. When I get the label the way I like it, I press,
Synchronize. That works slick. All the labels appear great on the
screen. However, printing them out is not so great. First, you'll notice
the bottom row of labels are missing the bottom lines of data. To rectify
this, I go to the top menu bar and click Format>Page. Why the page height
is less than eleven inches I do not know, since your label sheets are 8
1/2 X 11 anyhow. So, I increase the height size to 11.20 inches. That
gives me plenty of room to print the bottom lines. However, one thing
you'll notice (which is very irritating), the labels are slowly creeping
up as you view them toward the bottom. Most notably, compare the top row
of printed labels with the bottom row of printed labels. You'll notice
the data printed on the labels slowly creeps to the top of the label.
What was centered on the top row of labels, is now at, or near the top of
the label in the bottom row. With larger labels, i.e. Avery 8163 or 8164,
this isn't very noticeable at all. However, with the Avery 8160, this is
very noticeable. So, how do you reformat the labels?
Greg
