This link goes to the chapters list for version 2.x
This includes the Getting Started with Base chapter (May 10, 2006 PDF - 815 KB)
which is 33 pages of text and graphics

I use the Base program.
If you want to "import" the table from MS office into OOo Base
I would open the MS Access files and copy the TABLE to the clipboard
and then create a new database in OOo. Then paste the TABLE from the
clipboard into OOo Base. This recreates the TABLE into OOo Base
and you will be able to do what you want to with it.

Otherwise you can only read/print the MS Access table file(s)
within Base. OOo Base is accessing the MS Access (or dBase, and others)
TABLE file directly and I have not found how to modify it. Whereas OOo Base
is accessing the Table "owned" by MS Access.

Download the Documents and read them

Subject: [users] [moderated] Newbe that needs guidance PLEASE

Hello
I am a new user to not only the OpenOffice Suite, but to the whole world of the WWW. I have been looking for information on how I can use this Interface in My upcoming Microsoft access data base class.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
 Respectfully .
 Margaret Goodell
