[users] Trouble with document recovery

Greetings to all !
                           I'm a novice user with a  average level of PC 
literacy.  I really like OpenOffice but have  only been able to use it 1-2 
times.
  
  Now when I try to use it, I get a document recovery message that  doesn't 
seem to have any choices available & locks up my screen...
  
  I'd appreciate any advice or guidance anyone might have....
