These are a lot of problems. I have no direct answer for you without knowing which OS and which release of OOo and whether or not your computer meets the minimum requirements as described at http://www.openoffice.org/dev_docs/source/sys_reqs.html Nonetheless, I will guess you have linked in graphics or other objects from the Internet and these are taking time to resolve.
