Recently I had a problem to solve which involve using a spreadsheet
originally created in MS Excel but my user now have to use OO Calc
after changing to Fedora.
It seem that in MS Excel, cells that contain non-numeric data can
can be used for computation in formulas. While in OO Calc the same
spreadsheet will produce a different result due to mixing numeric and
non-numeric.
I think OO Calc has followed the basic arithmetic rule that only
numeric can be correctly computed. While in MS Excel it assume
the non-numeric data into valid numerics.
Just want to hear what you all think about this problem especially
when troubleshooting for errors.
Best regards,
Ben
