Hi,
Firstly, I think OpenOffice is great, at least I will do, once I can use
it! But yes I love the fact that I might not have to give Bill Gates
any more of my money.
I work for a website myself, and the reason I needed to download
OpenOffice is because I don't need to use Word that often, I have a new
laptop (which I bought for work) and only have the trial version of Word
installed. After receiving an e-mail at work, I needed to use a Word
Document for the reply (a company invoice proforma) and realised that I
could only read Word docs and not edit them. I needed to get these
documents e-mailed to our company accountant yerterday, opps! So I
proceeded to click on the pop up that I got from Microsoft to install
the full version before I could edit my document. I was amased to
discover that it was £280! Hence the queest to find an alternative! b
My problem is, I have successfully downloaded the software, but now its
on my desktop, it won't open at all, and there are no error messages. I
use Mozilla Firefox as my Browser, could that be the problem?
Hope to hear from you shortly, as you can appreciate until I can use the
software, I can't keep our company accountant happy, so would be
greatful for a quick response with some suggestions.
Regards,
Julie McKenna
