Easiest to deal with this by installing your MS windows TT fonts 
under Linux and using them with OOo on both systems.

They can be installed specific to OOo or as universal X11 fonts.

You may need ttmkfdir or mkfontscale to create a font.scale file.
(I think I used ttmkfdir).
