My mail client is entirely up to date, thank you.

I don't put my trust in Microsoft any more than I put my trust in a mail message putatively signed by someone who didn't send it.

I have never heard of your CA. Why should I trust its certificates? Telling my system to trust your certificate could leave it open to all sorts of nasties.

I just checked my web browser - Firefox 1.0.5. It has never heard of your CA either. Nor has Internet Explorer 6.0.2900

Please consider either
- getting an RSA certificate, or Thawte if they still exist or any that Firefox or IE has heard of. - or switching to PGP and getting a large collection of friends to vouch for your signature (one or more of whom I may know and therefore trust)
- or just stop signing messages to no good purpose.

Mr. Singleton,

Every time I try to open one of your messages to users@openoffice.org I am
informed that

The digital ID's e-mail address does not match sender's

and have to open another message instead.

Hmm, I would say that your mail client has not been updated for a while
and/or you have not bothered to ensure your ca-certificates is
up-to-date. Please see if you can do this.

Please ensure that your digital ID is appropriate to the e-mail account you
are using. Else, what is the point of signing your mail?

I have no reason to trust the CA behind the certificate as I have never
heard of it and, clearly, neither has Microsoft.

If you are putting your trust is Microsoft, that is your choice. Please
see above.

This is http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=64581 and, in
the current crop of snapshots for 2.0.4, is re-enabled. So it looks like
only 2.0.3 will be affected in this manner.
