I'm going to try a reinstall, but thought I'd document what I'm seeing.
OOo 2.0.
Selecting a word and pressing ^F7 brings up the thesaurus, but there are
never any suggestions.
OK, so I run the File | Wizard to update the dicts. The update alerts me
to the availability of a v.11.6 DictOOo installer, but errors out when
it attempts the DL.
OK ... so I proceed an update the dict and thes for English.
Go back and try selecting a word and pressing ^F7 ... again brings up
the thesaurus, but no suggestions.
Contact the author of DictOOo. He quickly gets back to me, sends me to
a Web site where I can manually DL the 1.6 update. Installs OK. Still
no thesauraus suggestions.
On a hunch, I go into the OpenOffice folder, and delete all the
non-English dicts and thes.
Viola! The thesaurus works. For a few weeks.
Yesterday I noticed the thesaurus was greyed out as a menu option.
Restarted OOo. Rebooted Windoze. No luck.
Re-ran the File | Wizard and reinstalled the dicts. Now they don't
provide suggestions, again.
