I hope it won't be taken amiss if I mention that Star Office's release
includes support for MS macros.

Ah, ahhhhhhhh. Now the world makes sense again. And, how much is Star
Office?
Does every version of StarOffice, or only the enterprise version? I think that it is only the enterprise version. Next question, does the Linux version support Excel Macros? I do not know. I was not able to obtain an evaluation copy to check. You could ask Sun.

First: I'm not Sun :-)

StarOffice Enterprise ships with (among others) a macro migration tool.
Very usefull, very well documented, however, only to be used with the necesarry VBA/SB knowledge and leaves some work to be done as well. The macro migration works for all supported platforms, with the remark that OS-specific functions might need extra attention.

Kindest regards,
Cor
