All: I was involved with this thread, but erased it.
I opened an issue on this and one of the other fine OpenSource folks found the solution (for now). The solution is to rename the file from .DBF to .dbf. For some reason, the Base program's dBase portion will not recognize the .DBF extension. Yes, this has an issue open for version 2.0.3.
