Sam,
Sorry that you are having problems with OpenOffice. It truly is a
vergy good office applications suite. But if you would like to remove the
software you may do so just like all the other software on your computer (if
you have windows). GO to start-> settings-> Add Remove
Find the open office program and click on remove/uninstall. After that you
can follow the prompts and safely remove the program. As for negative
publicity, the software speaks for itself and I think users can find their
own opinion on it. If you are more comfortable with Microsoft Office there
is always the option to purchase that(which you may be able to purchase at a
student discount). As with any new program there is a learning curve. With
my pc's my main pc I purchased a copy of Microsoft office 2003 years ago and
I run open office on all of my other computers since it does everything I
need. Good luck with your uninstall

Jim K

I want to completely rid my computer of openoffice. I do not like or want
it. Can i do this or will I have to throw away computer, because with
openoffice it is worthless to me. If i can not get some assistance the
negative publicity will be very very bad. i have many myspace friends who
will pass the word. i have tried several times to work this out and Ifeel
that this program is no better than adware, since it will not do what i ask

of it.
